JOHNSON CO. – A Nineveh man died in a crash early Tuesday morning in Johnson County.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to Mauxferry Road near Franklin at about 5:43 a.m. Tuesday after REMC crews reported finding a crashed SUV in a field after a power outage in the area just before 5 a.m.
Deputies found the driver’s body about 30 yards north of the vehicle.
According to police, 59-year-old David E. Taylor, of Nineveh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say that there were no witnesses to the crash which remains under investigation.
