CLAY CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure of State Road 157 in Clay County between Clay City and Coal City.
Beginning on or after Monday, Oct. 16, State Road 157 will be closed between the 14 and 23-mile markers.
The closure will run daily from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and is expected to be finished within a week.
INDOT crews will be replacing multiple pipes in the area.
Due to the replacements, the official detour around the area will change daily and will be between 1-2 miles in length.
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
INDOT encourages all drivers to be safe in the area, slow down, and avoid distracted driving.
