DUBOIS – After a scoreless regulation and double overtime, Northeast Dubois defeated Mitchell 2-1 in penalty kicks on Saturday to claim the Sectional 47 Championship.
Gibson Glassco scored in penalties for the Bluejackets, with Adrian Keller and Landon Rueber scoring the winning goals for the Jeeps.
Mitchell advanced to the final with wins over Vincennes Rivet (2-0) and Washington Catholic (4-1).
They finish their season with a final record of 6-7-3.
Northeast Dubois will take on Forest Park on Oct. 11 for the Regional Semi-Final.
