Hannah Center needs winter clothes for babies and small children

BLOOMINGTON – The Hannah Center in Bloomington is completely out of or is critically low on many sizes of clothes for babies and small children.

  • 18-month girl clothes
  • 5T and 6/7 girl clothes
  • 3T, 4T, 5T, 6/7 boy clothes
  • 4T, 5T, 6/7 boy and girl pjs

Many of these sizes do not have ANY items at all. Take a moment to check what your kiddos may have outgrown and keep an eye on clearance items in any of these sizes.

The non-profit takes clothes from newborn through 6/7, as well as maternity clothing. Any donations can be dropped off on the Hannah House porch in the donation bins at the top of the ramp!

What is Hannah House?

Hannah House is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of women and families experiencing crisis pregnancies and early parenting challenges.

In 1986, an Indiana University student, Becky Best, felt that the Lord wanted her to do something about the increasing problem of crisis pregnancies in Bloomington. Becky ran a classified ad in the Indiana Daily Student and the Herald-Telephone (now Herald Times) stating, “If you’d like to help women facing crisis pregnancies, call Becky.” Those first phone calls were the foundation for an initial grassroots movement.

A meeting was held, and an initial board was formed. In the first year, The Hannah Center (formerly the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Bloomington) helped just over 100 women and families with free pregnancy tests, diapers, and maternity clothes. In 2016, we had 2,296 visits in Material Support. It is a joy seeing how much growth we have experienced throughout the years.
