SEYMOUR – A Washington County man is behind bars after police say he had inappropriate sexual contact with two underage children, approximately 20 years ago.
Seymour Police officers arrested 62-year-old William J. Gasser, on two Class A felony counts of child molesting. Gasser was arrested at a home in the 6200 block of Mt. Eden Road, in Scottsburg in rural Gibson Township was transported to Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 3:49 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17
The investigation began into the allegations on September 27, 2023, when officers learned of allegations that Gasser had inappropriate sexual contact with two underage victims years ago while living in Jackson County.
Gasser was interviewed and admitted to the crimes. He was then detained and transported to jail.
