BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested on December 14 after Bedford Police officers responded to a report of a woman who was caught stealing items from the Dollar General store.
The caller said that after the woman stole the items, she returned them. The caller also reported that the woman was in her car, screaming and refusing to leave the parking lot.
When police arrived at 6:44 p.m., they found 29-year-old Morgan Wolcott in a black car parked in front of the propane tanks. Officers knocked on the driver’s window, and Wolcott opened the car door. Officers smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Wolcott told police she had left her phone and keys inside the store, but the employee would not let her enter to retrieve them.
Wolcott was asked to step out of her vehicle, and police searched it. Wolcott became agitated and made multiple attempts to open the rear driver’s door. Wolcott was placed in handcuffs.
She then told officers the marijuana was in the glove box. Police found a baggie of marijuana, a baggie containing meth, a rolled marijuana cigarette, two grinders, and a sealed THC vape pen.
Once placed in the patrol car, Wolcott began kicking and slamming her head against the door.
Wolcott was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.
