INDIANA – Governor Eric J. Holcomb announced today that Daniel S. Murrie has been appointed to the Daviess County Superior Court. Murrie will replace Judge Dean A. Sobecki, who retired on Dec. 31, 2023.
Murrie has held that position as the Daviess County Prosecutor since 2010. Before his role, he was the chief deputy prosecutor in Daviess County. Murrie is active in the community through his volunteer efforts with the Washington Rotary Club and the Odon Lions Club.
Murrie received an undergraduate degree from Westminster College and a law degree from the University of Missouri.
Murrie will be sworn in as Judge on a date to be determined.
