BLOOMINGTON – A Hoosier Asian American Power’s launch event will feature Helen Zia, a Chinese American journalist and activist for Asian American and LGBTQ rights. She is considered a key figure in the Asian American movement.
Zia is an accomplished author and has published multiple books about Asian American histories and experiences.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, at the I Fell Building at 415 West 4th Street in Bloomington from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The public is welcome and light refreshments will be served.
