PAOLI – The Springs Valley Fire Department provided mutual aid Saturday at 8:03 a.m. at the request of Paoli Fire Department after a report of a structure fire at 293 Wilbur Street.
SVFD Pumper 33 responded with firefighters to provide manpower. Orange County Rural District 2 was also requested for tanker support.
The fire was extinguished after extensive work to find all the hotspots within the walls, flooring, and ceiling. The structure was a total loss.
The State Fire Marshal has been requested to assist in the investigation.
Also assisting at the scene was an IU Lifeline ambulance crew, officers with the Paoli Police Department, the Town of Paoli Electric Department, and Indiana Natural Gas.
