SEYMOUR – On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 8:18 a.m., patrol officers with the Seymour Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Shields Avenue after a report of two individuals found unconscious in a vehicle.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a juvenile male and an adult female unresponsive.
Jackson County EMS and the Seymour Fire Department were called to the scene.
It was determined that the female “still had signs of life,” and the juvenile male was deceased.
The female was taken to Schneck Medical Center for treatment. The juvenile male was removed from the vehicle and taken to the morgue at Schneck Medical Center, where an autopsy will be performed.
According to Lt. C.J. Foster, no names are being released due to the ongoing investigation.
