BEDFORD – The Bedford Board of Works and Safety met Tuesday at the Stonegate Art and Education Center.
The agenda for the meeting was full, and here are the highlights of the conference:
- Presentation of the “Coldest Night of the Year” 5K event to benefit the Men’s Warming Shelter for Saturday, February 24. The event was approved and passed.
- Clint Swanson of the Bedford Police Department was promoted permanently to Major.
- Candidate Aaron Manke was approved to be hired by the Police Department
- Bedford Police Department was authorized to participate in Operation Pullover/DUI task force.
- The Jay Nelson Major Subdivision at 26th and U Street was approved and accepted.
- The Bedford Fire Department hired Parish England.
