Kenny Banks was born on November 22, 1943, in Bedford, Indiana to Harry McClelland and Mary Elsie (Godsey) Banks. He passed away peacefully at 6:05 am on January 17, 2024, at Westview Rehabilitation Center after a recent bout with an ongoing illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Ann, and a brother, Larry Wayne.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Janice Darlene (Flynn) Banks of Springville; two daughters, Kathryn (Jim) Gaddis of Mitchell and Mary (Joe) Bunch of Martinsville; two sons, Lanny (Joan) Banks of Bedford and Kenneth Ray, Jr. of Mitchell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 10:00 am until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church in Owensburg, Indiana. Burial will follow at Lowder Cemetery in Springville, Indiana. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Youth Fund.
