BEDFORD– Bedford is partnering with the Indiana Department of Transportation to upgrade John Williams Boulevard.
John Williams Boulevard and Beech Street intersection is set to be reworked into a roundabout. According to David Flinn, Street Commissioner for the City of Bedford, the roundabout will “help traffic flow and make the intersection safer.”
Bids will be let in December, and plans are to commence construction at the intersection in the summer of 2025. The project is expected to take 4 months to complete. John Williams Boulevard will not close during construction, though it will operate with limited lanes.
INDOT is matching the city 90/10% with Bedford’s share coming in at just under $200,000.
