BEDFORD – A Mitchell man faces charges of invasion of privacy and stalking after he violated a protective order.
Police arrested 43-year-old Christopher Sowers after an investigation that began in November 2023.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Lonnie Johnson, a woman arrived at the department to report Sowers was threatening her. Although the woman changed her cell phone number, Sower continued to contact her via email. In total, Sowers sent the woman 46 text messages and three emails, violating the protective order that was in place.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, and a warrant was issued for Sowers’ arrest.
