MITCHELL – A Bedford woman was detained Saturday on new drug charges after Mitchell Police Department officers responded to a home in the 600 block of State Road 60 East to arrest the woman on a warrant to revoke her probation.
Police learned that 41-year-old Samantha L. Carver was staying at the home with her boyfriend.
Police arrested Carver on new charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and the outstanding warrant.
When Officers Steven Britten and Michael Bargo arrived, they walked up to the side door and saw Carver standing in the garage, and she was detained. During a search of her person, police found a glass smoking pipe containing crystal meth. She told police the jacket she was wearing was a friend’s and she didn’t know the pipe was in the pocket.
