VINCENNES – The Knox County Emergency Management Agency is hosting a Knox and Daviess County Severe Storm Spotter Training on Tuesday, February 29th.
The training rotates between Knox and Daviess Counties every year to allow residents to learn about severe weather safety and basic storm spotting operations.
Topics include basic radar understanding, identifying severe weather cloud features, spotter location, and reporting criteria.
The training session, conducted by the National Weather Service, is free to attend.
The training will be held at the Vincennes University Technology Center, 1300 North Chestnut Street, Vincennes, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
No registration is required.
