CROWN POINT – The ArcelorMittal Global Research and Development Center has recently partnered with the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA) as an Elite Partner, expanding the goals of both organizations to support the community and advance the achievements of women across multiple industries.
NWIIWA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the leading professional development association for women in Northwest Indiana, with thousands of members and affiliates.
ArcelorMittal Global R&D is an innovative division of the international steelmaker where new steel products, processes, and solutions are envisioned, tested, improved, and deployed. The organization employs around 1,500 full-time researchers at 11 geographical sites worldwide and is committed to supporting and advancing women in STEM careers.
Together, NWIIWA and ArcelorMittal Global R&D will help expand opportunities for women and companies throughout the Northwest Indiana community.
“Our association is very honored to partner with such a prominent organization from the industrial scientific community. There are amazing career opportunities for women in STEM fields, but many women may not be aware of everything the industry has to offer. NWIIWA’s mission is always to open more doors to advancement for women, and this new partnership with ArcelorMittal Global R&D provides even more unique ways for us to fulfill that goal,” said Erica Dombey, NWIIWA board chair.
