Michael L. Vinson, Jr., 43, of Austin, passed away on January 24, 2024, at 1:34 p.m. at the University of Louisville Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was born in Bedford on May 23, 1980, to Micheal Lee Vinson, Sr., and Melissa (Van Meter) Overstreet. Michael married Heidi Begley on November 16, 2023, in Mitchell and she survives. Michael attended BNL High School and worked as a packer at Genpak in Scottsburg; he previously worked many years at Better Way Moving Company.
Survivors include his wife, Heidi Vinson; children, LeAnn Dusler, Kaylin Duslar, Kylie Vinson-Duslar, and Mila Stidham; two sisters, Rachel Kee and Tina Hanners; one brother, Douglas Turner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Vinson, Sr., and mother and stepfather, Melissa and Douglas Overstreet.
Private family funeral services will be held at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Pastor Johnnie Herald officiating. Burial will be in Dive Cemetery. Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care. Condolences may be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
