INDIANA — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has announced the dates Hoosiers can participate in Free Fishing Days in 2024.
The DNR offers a few Free Fishing Days each year for those who want to learn to fish or introduce a friend to fishing.
The DNR will offer four Free Fishing Days throughout the year:
- May 12
- June 1
- June 2
- Sept. 28
Free Fishing Days allow Hoosiers to fish on public waters without a fishing license or a trout and salmon stamp.
According to the DNR, rules such as bag and size limits still apply.
Some lakes and state parks also host events on Free Fishing Days, which can be found on the DNR’s website.
