John Philip Bartlett, 71, of Bedford, passed away at 7:26 a.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born July 1, 1952, in Bedford, he was the son of Forrest “Ed” and Mary Beth (Johnson) Bartlett. He was a graduate of Bedford High School and Indiana State University. He retired as a diemaker at General Motors Powertrain in 2006 and was a UAW Local #440 member. He loved fishing and spending time at his cabin in Wisconsin.
Survivors include his loving life partner, Linda Baker Breedlove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Kermit and Mary (Lytton) Bartlett, Elmer and Maud (Giles) Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Private burial will be in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
