SALEM – Purdue Extension-Lawrence County Educator Ophelia Davis, 41 Campbellsburg, has been arrested on a misdemeanor theft charge after stealing from Walmart.
Davis is the Agriculture and Natural Resources educator at Purdue Extension-Lawrence County.
The Salem Police Department Officer Chris Cauble arrested Davis at 3:16 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, after she allegedly stole more than $83 worth of items from the Walmart Supercenter at 1309 East Hackberry Street.
Store employees said Davis passed all points of sale and failed to pay for the items in her cart.
Davis was released from the Washington County Security Office at 6:24 a.m. after posting a $500 cash bond.
