Shirleen (Mollet) Anderson, 91, of Bedford, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Bonifay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bonifay, Florida.
Born October 21, 1932, in Calumet, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clarence and Margaret
(Weisnebach) South. She moved to Lawrence County, Indiana, and lived most of her life there but moved to Bonifay, Florida, on February 15, 2022.
Shirleen cherished her family photos; many covered her walls and refrigerator. She also appreciated artwork, crafts, fine clothing, and jewelry. She looked forward to visiting family and enjoying the scenery in Florida. Shirl had spunk, was quite sassy, and her sense of humor was entertaining.
As a firm believer in Jesus Christ, she was not afraid to tell her experiences, especially when it came to the healing of her cancer years ago, among other divine interventions she witnessed.
Survivors are four children: Ronnie E. (Donna) Mollet of Bonifay, Florida; Jimmie L. (Deborah) Mollet of Bedford, Indiana; Linda K. Mollet-Ketchum of Bedford, Indiana; Robert ‘Scott’ Mollet of Clearwater, Florida and three Step-sons, Larry, Darryl, and Ferrell Anderson. Her grandchildren include James Jason, Scotty, Missy, Jessica, Sara, Jimmy, Crystal, Aaron, Tasha, Hanna, Elijah, and Cade; twenty- eight great grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She lost her first husband, Bobby E. Mollet (April 5, 1929- January 16, 1984), and her second husband, Chester Anderson (October 17, 1916-February 13, 2013). Also preceded in death were her parents; one step-son, Jerry Anderson; her siblings: Mozella, Florence, Gwenth, Oliver, and Clarence; two nieces, Eugenia Baker –Neal and Darlene Sands; and two nephews, Paul and Eugene South.
Shirleen will be laid to rest at the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca, Indiana, at a later date alongside her first husband, Bobby Mollet.
