HENDRICKS CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a bridge closure on State Road 236 over Big Walnut Creek near North Salem.
Beginning on or after Friday, March 1, crews will start the demolition of the existing bridge.
Crews will be building a new one in this location for drivers’ safety and improved mobility.
Work is expected to continue through late August.
All work schedules are weather-permitting and are subject to change.
Drivers will need to seek an alternate route to get around the closure.
INDOT also encourages drivers to slow down through the area and drive distraction-free while keeping worker safety top-of-mind.
