BEDFORD- On September 28, 2023, Bedford Police Officers Clay Blackburn, Nick Crulo, and Officer Brent Tompkins were involved in a shooting that left Daymon Hubbard, 47, of Bedford dead.
Police Chief Terry Moore updated the Bedford Board of Works and Safety last night that all officers who took place in the incident are back to work. The investigation by the Indiana State Police and BPD Internal Affairs found that the shooting was justified and the officers could return from administrative leave.
Chief Moore also added that Sgt. Toby Gerkin had not fired his duty weapon and returned to the department at the end of October.
