OOLITIC – The Oolitic Town Council, on Monday, voted to have Hagan serve as Oolitic Town Marshal while Marshal Harrington is on administrative leave.
Hagan was serving as Chief Deputy Marshal.
Harrington was placed on administrative leave in January 2024 In a three-to-one vote, with Councilman Steve Kerr opposing.
Harrington was ordered to turn in all his equipment, which Town Marshalls Greg Hagan and Ryan Duckett will inventory and report to the council. Harrington was also forbidden to be on town property without permission from the council.
The town council also amended the 2024 Salary Ordinance to increase the pay for deputy marshals. Their pay will increase by $2.45 from $18.55 to $22.00.
The town council welcomed new reserve deputy marshal Koleman Glenn. This is a volunteer position. Glenn is employed at Newkirk Construction and has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT.
