MITCHELL – On Thursday, February 29, around 2:00 a.m., Lawrence County Deputy Kenton Carter conducted a traffic stop on Hancock Avenue.
The driver was 29-year-old Skylar Schofield of Mitchell. Schofield was wanted on an active felony parole warrant.
As he was being taken into custody, police found Schofield in possession of approximately three grams of meth along with heroin, syringes, and marijuana.
Deputy Carter arrested Schofield on new charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of meth, unlawful possession of a syringe
Capt. Harrison Fleetwood and Deputy Josh Rhoades assisted with the stop.
