SPARKSVILLE – Following a year-long drug investigation, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section Detectives and Troopers from the Bloomington District arrested a female on Monday, March 4, for dealing methamphetamine.
While using a variety of investigative techniques, DES Detectives learned 47-year-old Rhonda Jones, of Sparksville, was dealing methamphetamine to Lawrence and Jackson County citizens.
Detectives served search warrants and conducted controlled buys, ultimately leading to a search warrant being served at Jones’ residence. DES Detectives, with assistance from Troopers Chance Humphrey and Ben Burris, both of the Bloomington District, served the search warrant at the Sparksville residence and located more than three pounds of methamphetamine. Detectives and Troopers also found and seized more than $50,000 in US currency, two handguns, and ½ a pound of marijuana.
