PAOLI – Indiana State Police say a Mitchell man is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle in front of a State Trooper Mackenzi Alexander Sunday morning on State Road 37 in Paoli.
According to Trooper Alexander, 24-year-old Jaden Hawkins ran off the road and struck a culvert and some mailboxes before stopping on State Road 37.
Police say Hawkins showed visible signs of impairment. Hawkins was transported to IU Health in Paoli for a chemical test and medical clearance.
Hawkins was subsequently arrested.
