MITCHELL – The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a vacant house fire reported Tuesday night.
Mitchell and Marion Township Volunteer Fire Departments Firefighters responded to the blaze at 455 North 7th Street at 8:59 p.m. When they arrived, they found smoke bellowing from the home.
The home did not have any water hooked up and has been vacant for more than three years.
