BARTLETTSVILLE – It took firefighters only ten minutes to extinguish a residential fire Saturday afternoon at 1862 Barlettsville Road.
Firefighters from the Pleasant Run Township and Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Departments arrived at 12:49 p.m. to find smoke billowing from the home’s eaves.
No one was home when the fire ignited.
The fire was contained in the living room, but smoke was damaged throughout the residence.
Firefighters believe an unattended woodstove may have caused the fire.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies and an IU Lifeline Ambulance crew assisted at the scene.
