BEDFORD – On Thursday, March 7, 2024, a Bedford man was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction by Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline after failing to comply with the terms of his probation.
On January 18, 2024, Mack E. Morris, 35, Bedford, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, as part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana. The plea agreement offered Morris 545 days in prison, 32 days executed, 481 days suspended, and 545 days supervised probation.
However, on March 7, 2024, Morris admitted to violating his probation by using methamphetamine. Judge Cline revoked Morris’s suspended sentence and sentenced him to 481 days in the IDOC, and he terminated the probation as unsuccessful.

Judge Cline said that he wanted to make sure he received treatment and the best way he could ensure that was by having Morris participate in treatment while in prison.
