LAWRENCE COUNTY- Bertha’s Mission is a beacon of compassion, embodying the spirit of community and kindness. With warmth and dedication, they offer nourishment and fellowship to those in need, ensuring everyone feels valued and cared for during this special holiday season.
The mission will serve a free Easter dinner on Saturday, March 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 1515 20th Street in Bedford and Mitchell Church of the Nazarene at 301 W Grissom Ave, Mitchell. “It’s a great way for the community to come together, especially post-COVID,” said Atalie Klumpp, treasurer for the Bertha’s Mission Board. Expect a delicious meal with all the staples: ham, green beans, glazed carrots, and rolls, but be sure to leave room for dessert. If you need a meal delivered, call 317-480-0085 by Wednesday, March 20, to get your order locked in.
Food and monetary donations are always appreciated for this event. They can be dropped off at the Mission at 512 Lincoln Avenue in Bedford or sent to P.O. Box 1022, Bedford, Indiana, 47421.
