AVOCA – On Thursday, March 14, 2024, around 11:30 a.m., Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Officers Brenten Trueblood and Shaun Cabral conducted a traffic stop along State Road 54 near Avoca.
During the stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. Officers located approximately 17 grams of Cocaine, 20 grams of Psilocybin (psychedelic mushrooms), 11 grams of marijuana, and 24 controlled substance pills.
Kevin Donnelly Jr., 38, of Springville, and Maria Carter, 42, Springville, were arrested during the traffic stop.
Donnelly and Carter’s Greene County residence was then searched, and a search warrant was applied for and granted through Lawrence County.
Later that same day, the Indiana State Police assisted Lawrence County Sheriff’s Officers with executing the search warrant, which was conducted in the 11000 block of East Blue Sky North. During the search of the residence, approximately 333 grams of methamphetamine (almost 3/4 of a pound), 179 grams of Psilocybin, 163 grams of processed marijuana, three marijuana plants, two firearms, digital scales, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located.
Two other individuals, Jason Hill, 49, of Springville, and Holly Stoll, 35, of Springville, were located at the residence. Hill and Stoll were arrested at the search warrant and taken to the Greene County Jail on charges of possession of meth, cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additional charges on Donnelly and Carter are expected through Greene County on felony charges of dealing meth, possession of methamphetamine, dealing schedule one controlled substance, possession of a schedule one controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lawrence County Officers involved in the investigation were Brenten Trueblood, Shaun Cabral, Andrew Tillett, and Drug Detective Chris Griggs. Indiana State Troopers Jesse Crane and Ben Burris and an ISP DES Detective assisted them.
