Betty Neal, 87, of Bedford, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 27, 1936, in Austin, TX, she was the daughter of Herbert and Erma (Bledsoe) Asbury. She married Don Neal on May 2, 1959, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2021. She retired as a cook at North Lawrence Community Schools and attended Mitchell Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include five children: Tracy Neal, Donna Harris, and Jeff (Carra) Neal, all of Bedford; Kelley (Robbie) Robertson, of Paoli; and Paul Neal, of MI; fourteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry (Mary Ellen) Asbury, of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Jackie and Robert Asbury, and a son, Randall Scott Neal.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday.
