STATEHOUSE – State officials have honored two organizations in Daviess County for their commitment to advancing community health.
The Daviess County Health Department and the Purdue Extension Office of Daviess County received a Public Health Partnership award for their efforts in creating the Rooted Project.
“Together, the Daviess County Health Department and Purdue Extension-Daviess County created the Rooted Project to link community members to a wide range of local resources and support, providing them a strong foundation to grow and flourish,” Deputy Health Commissioner of Local Health Services Pam Pontones said. “The daily connections and integrated work with public health, schools, churches, businesses, and community partners give life-changing opportunities of better health for all.”
Officials were given the award during Public Health Day at the statehouse in February.
