BEDFORD — During its monthly meeting, the Bedford Redevelopment Commission voted to extend the 10-year tax abatement for Hoosier Uplands Economic Development Corporation for Limestone Edge, a 32-unit senior living housing project on Shawnee Drive.
Natalie Powell of Hoosier Uplands told the board that the 75% reduction for ten years is crucial for the project to receive state funding, such as dollars from the Indiana Housing Community Development Authority. She said they didn’t receive any funding last year, and extending the reduction will allow the group to reapply for funding.
The board also voted to pay the monthly invoice of $4,299,71 for the Spider Creek Project and to pay Baker Tilly, an Indianapolis-based accounting firm, $2,250 for management planning.
