Bedford Astronaut Charles D. Walker will share facts about the eclipse and his career on Saturday, April 6

BEDFORD — Bedford native and astronaut Charles D. Walker will discuss his career as an astronaut and share scientific eclipse facts during his presentation on Saturday, April 6th, at 11 a.m. at the Eclipse Over Lawrence County event at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in Bedford.

This Hooser hero, a Purdue University graduate, flew on three NASA Space Shuttle missions in the 1980s.
During his appearance and presentation at Eclipse Over Lawrence County at 11 a.m., Walker will talk about his experience on the space shuttle, explain the significance of the total solar eclipse, and how to get the most out of viewing it.

The Eclipse Over Lawrence County will be packed with entertainment, programming, activities, and celebrations from Friday, April 5, through Monday, April 8. All visiting eclipse enthusiasts and residents are welcome.
