JASPER — A man was arrested in Jasper early Friday morning after being accused of trying to break into a hotel room at the Holiday Inn Express
Officers say they were at a hotel on Hospitality Drive after a report a man was attempting to break into a room.
When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Derrick Wyatt of Tennessee. Police say Wyatt was intoxicated and had drug paraphernalia.
Police say Wyatt damaged hotel property attempting to break into the room.
Wyatt was arrested and booked into the Dubois County Jail on charges of criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia.
