BEDFORD – Lawrence County Auditor Paula Stewart asked the commissioner to approve seeking a contract with Data Pit Stop.
Data Pit Stop offers a wide variety of services ranging from data conversion to web application
“There would be a breakdown of excise tax. All data would be put on a public site,” added Stewart. “This would include both real and personal property. There will also be a property tax calculator that will be more accurate and efficient in calculating taxes.”
The cost would be around $4,000 a year and is currently in the budget.
“We would save a lot of money, and it would pay for itself,” said President Wally Branham.
