BEDFORD — The Highway Department is looking to hire three truck drivers.
Highway Superintendent Brandi Webb said those interested can apply at the Highway Department on Indeed.
“We are asking that they have the CDL permit,” said Webb. “We can provide the training for them to obtain their CDL.
The county received $1.8 million in federal funds to replace Bridge 66 on Tunnelton Dennison Road.
Bridge 66 on Tunnelton Denniston Road is a 90-foot historic bridge with a 16-ton limit.
Crews continue to patch roads, place culverts, and prepare for summer paving projects.
Sheriff Greg Day reported 102 inmates in the jail Tuesday morning; of those, 78 were males, 24 were females, four had Department of Correction holds, two had parole holds, and two were Level 6 felons.
