Michael ‘Tony’ A. Terry, 72, of Ferdinand, passed away at 1:27 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville.
Born December 2, 1951, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Robert and Katherine (Hall) Terry. He married Sharon Schneider on March 16, 1985, and she survives. He worked at Burger Chef Bedford, RCA, and retired from G.E. in Bloomington. He later worked part-time at Clover Leaf Restaurant in Bedford, the Avoca Mini-Mart in Avoca, Holiday Foods in Ferdinand, and Jeff’s Bait and Guns in Jasper.
He loved fishing, firearms, knives, and cooking. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attended Redemption Christian Church in Jasper.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of Ferdinand; a son, Gabriel Wilmes, and wife, Lyndsey, of Muncie; four grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin, Harper, and Griffin, all of Muncie; a brother, Bob Terry, and wife Kathy, of Silverville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerry Terry, and a sister, Bonnie Caraway.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29th, at the Silverville Baptist Church with Duane Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverville Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the church.
