VINCENNES – A Vincennes man died Saturday morning after being struck by a CSX freight train at a rail crossing near 216 South 14th Street.
The accident happened just before 10:30 a.m.
Police say 69-year-old Mark Moffett was riding his lawn mower at the time.
Due to emergency response and investigation, the train blocked crossings across Vincennes for several hours.
The fatality remains under investigation by Vincennes Police.
