MORGAN CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company began work on State Road 67 over Falls Creek on Tuesday, April 2, to complete a bridge rehabilitation project in Morgan County.
Lane restrictions will occur along State Road 67, approximately one mile west of Paragon. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph, and temporary traffic signals will be utilized while work progresses. At a later date, additional bridge rehabilitation work will take place along S.R. 67 over Hodges Ditch and Butler Creek just west of Paragon. Lane restrictions are expected to remain in place along S.R. 67 until late September, weather permitting.
This project is part of a $2.6 million contract awarded to Force Construction in September 2023. The contract includes four district bridge rehabilitation projects. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
