Experts are encouraging those still hoping to camp at Hoosier National Forest during the eclipse to do the following:
- Practice responsible recreation when setting up dispersed campsites
- Use existing lots for vehicle parking only
- Do not obstruct traffic, block gates or create resource damage when parking
- Set up campsites off the road
- Remove all personal belongings, including trash, upon leaving
- Ensure campfires have been properly extinguished
