LOOGOOTEE — Four people were arrested on multiple drug-related charges on Thursday, April 4.
According to the Loogtooee Police Department, a two-month extensive multi-agency narcotics investigation led by Martin County Deputy Dylan Erwin, who was assisted by Major Tyler Reed, Deputy Wesley Baumgart, and Loogootee Res. Officer Jonah Shaw of the Loogootee Police Department.
The search was conducted at 5:30 p.m. by Martin County Sgt John Wells, Deputy Erwin, Deputy James Shields, Loogootee Sgt. John Wagoner and Res. Patrolman Shaw executed the search warrant at the home of Rodney Bateman, located in Loogootee City limits on the city’s southwest side.

During the investigation, police found around six grams of meth, drug paraphernalia, including pipes, spoons, and syringes, and around three pounds of marijuana and pills.
Police arrested 55-year-old Rodney Bateman and 55-year-old Paula Mitchell on charges of dealing meth and marijuana, possession of meth, unlawful possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested 50-year-old Christian Lytton, of Martinsville, on charges of visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Emily Osborne, 39, of Alforsville, is charged with visiting a common nuisance.
