BEDFORD—To those who grew up in the Bedford area before the turn of the century, what was once known simply as The Boys Club is now a facility meant for teens to congregate. The Teen Center offers many activities to entertain almost any teen. From volleyball and dodgeball to cooking club and robotics, there are classes, games, or clubs to please any taste.
The Teen Center will hold an open house on Thursday, April 18th, to showcase some of its offerings. “We are very excited to show parents the possibilities we offer in the Teen Center,” said Ashley Gilstrap, the Boys and Girls Club representative. The Teen Center is available to Club members in grades 7-12. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions about how to sign up and become part of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.
