Joshua LeRoy Blackwell, 38, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born March 6, 1986, he was the son of Cecil Blackwell and Jeannie Sykes. He married Alexis Greene on December 19, 2019, and she survives.
Joshua graduated from Mitchell High School and enjoyed art and playing the guitar.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Joshua is his wife, Alexis; his children, Jordie, Joleigh, and Alexie Blackwell and Theodore Greene; his parents, Cecil Blackwell and Jeannie Sykes; and siblings, T.J. Blackwell and Willie Blackwell.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Nate Sykes.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Community Concourse, 14th and H Streets in Bedford. Cremation has been chosen.
Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford has been entrusted with the arrangement for Joshua Blackwell.
