SCOTT CO. – The Scott County Sheriff’s Department deputies utilizing community-oriented policing patrol resulted in a substantial seizure of methamphetamine, ecstasy, heroin, and drug paraphernalia and the apprehension of a wanted felon.
On Sunday, April 7, at approximately 9:37 p.m., Lieutenant Charlie Morgan and K-9 Zeus were on patrol on US Highway 31 in the City of Scottsburg.
Lieutenant Morgan observed suspicious activity near an apartment building parking lot. He observed a male person he recognized who was wanted by the Indiana State Department of Corrections, leaving the area in the backseat of a vehicle he had just entered.
After conducting a stop of the vehicle, Lieutenant Morgan verified the identity of the alleged wanted person, who identified himself as 35-year-old Christopher Allen Trick. He was detained.
Upon further investigation at the scene, Lieutenant Morgan located 103.8 grams of meth, ecstasy, heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
Tick was arrested on the warrant and additional charges of dealing meth, possession of meth over 28 grams, possession of a narcotic drug, and obstruction of justice. He was transported to the Scott County Jail.
