Janice R. Romine, 83, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Autumn Trace in Bedford.
Born in Kansas on October 4, 1940, she was the daughter of Elwin and Virginia (Lake) Pickens. She married Richard Romine on April 22, 1978, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2022.
Janice was a member of Guide Pointe Church in Bedford and graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1959. She retired from RCA in Bloomington.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Janice are two sons, Paul (Rebecca) Romine of Bedford and Chad (Christina) Romine of Bedford; grandchildren, Anna and Jackson Romine, Carter Romine, and Noah, Olivia and Emmie Jones; one sister, Cheryl Tieman of Springville; three brothers, Ray Pickens of Indianapolis, James Pickens of Springville, and John Pickens of Springville, along with several nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, two sisters, Shirley Wildman and Ruth Walters, and one brother, Joe Pickens.
Funeral services for Janice R. Romine will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Guide Pointe Church, 2900 35th Street in Bedford, with Pastor Chris Perry officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., also at Guide Pointe Church.
Arrangements for Mrs. Romine have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
