ELLETTSVILLE— At 8:23 p.m. on Tuesday, the Ellettsville Fire Department, Monroe Fire Protection District, and IU Health Lifeline EMS were dispatched to a residential fire in the 6000 block of West McNeely Street.
When firefighters arrived, they reported heavy fire conditions. It took firefighters until about 9:30 p.m. to get the fire under control.
Units used a supply line from the nearby hydrant and had to close off the street for several hours. Residents reported that the evacuation was complete except for one dog.
No injuries were reported.
Ellettsville Police Department assisted on the scene.
The Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents.
